Mama: Yes, we prayed to Jesus (we prayed for Marissa when she hurt her leg).
Monkey: Wan go Da-doe
Mama: You want to go to McDonalds?
Monkey: Yeah!

Tshirtprinting.net review
About a week ago I received a cute monkey T-shirt in the mail from tshirtprinting.net. I was surprised at the quality of the fabric and the printing. I don't know, I guess I expected a cheap shirt with just an okay screen print that would wash and crumble. You know how those are, right?

1) Parent's WeeViews - Anyone with children under 4 can participate in Parents WeeViews. This "event" is online and regularly surveys parents about products. For each survey you complete, you are entered into a drawing for GREAT monthly prizes. For example, two of the prizes currently on our newly updated prize list are a Complete Air 65 Car Seat or Nod-A-Way Bassinet!
2) Parent Focus Groups - These happen in Columbus, IN. Parent focus groups are generally held on a weekday from 6-8pm. This is a parent only event, where parents come to talk about products - snacks are even provided. What's more - for participation you earn a $50 gift card to Target or Babies 'R Us!
3) Product Testing - You will need to travel to Columbus, IN so your child can help with testing products. Gift card amounts will vary depending on time spent.
4) In-Store Shop-Alongs - In these events you (and possibly your child) will shop with a Cosco employee. No purchases are necessary, the employee will have questions for you as you shop. Gift card amounts will vary.
5) One-on-ones/In-home visits - Yep, they'll even come to your house to learn about your family, your needs, your ideas! These happen in the Columbus, IN office, or in your home. One or two employees will chat with you about products. Again, you earn gift cards for your time!
Isn't that amazing? We have the opportunity to help input about products that our children, and future children will get to use! I think it sounds like a ton of fun!

The Pull-up Problem
Okay, so Monkey is potty trained.. well, as much as a 2 1/2 year old gets potty trained.. he usually stops playing when he needs to potty, he tells us if he has to go when we're out, and he wants to do it all himself. Pretty typical. He also still has some night-time wetting, again - typical.
I had been putting him in a diaper overnight (because lazy-mom didn't want to wash the bedding every day). Finally, last week I decided to use this coupon I had gotten for a "jumbo pack" of Pull-ups. The first thing you should know about the "Jumbo pack" is that his size comes with 23 Pull-ups.. that's jumbo... I hardly think so!
Anyhow, I didn't want to do it, I toyed with buying some cloth pull ups for overnight, but it takes a while for those to get here.. and besides that, I had a coupon for a free JUMBO PACK... so we bought it.
This is what I think is really crazy - since I "bought" this pack, he's had 1 accident overnight.. 1! My big guy is turning into an independent potty-trained boy! And I thought we needed Pull-ups!

Kiddie Catch-All: Review & Giveaway

I received the Kiddie Catch-All shortly before we took a LONG car trip to visit some family. Monkey loved it right away. He walked around the house filling it with his favorite toys. He loved having it on our trip to Maryland this weekend and pulling toys out of the convenient net whenever he wanted them. It was great for us because he was occupied during most of our 7+ hour drive!
The first few days that we used the Kiddie Catch-All, we had difficulty with keeping it on the seat. Well, at least until Monkey figured out how to take it off. He likes to play with it and use it like a net. He seems to think it is a fun thing for his toys to play in. No matter, he kept busy with the Kiddie Catch-All, and I know that as he gets more used to it being on his seat, he'll leave it there and play with the toys and not the basket!

The pool...
So, we're in Maryland visiting family. Tonight we decided to wear our boys down by taking them to the heated pool at the hotel! I was super excited, Randy and I both love to swim and we can't think of too many times that our boys have had the opportunity to use a pool yet. -- Monkey swam in the ocean and in tide pools this summer, but that's about it in his recent memory.
We got to the pool and it was empty -- bonus, we got the whole area to ourselves. Monkey had refused to take his socks off before leaving the hotel room, no surprise, he didn't know what to expect. We got to the pool and I got busy preparing Crackers for a fun dip. I asked Monkey to take his socks off, then his shirt so that he would be ready to get in.
I turned around and realized that Monkey thought he was going to get in to a big bathtub and had removed his shirt and his trunks! YIKES!
The pool may be heated but it was NOT warm. Within a few minutes of pool time, Crackers hands, feet, and lips were purple - bummer. We convinced Monkey that it would be fun to play in the warm bath instead. The boys had a blast splashing together in the tub.
Looking forward to spending the day with family tomorrow!
