Yet another reason that I adore this child:
This is an actual conversation that I had with Manasseh today during nap time.
(He had dropped a toy out of his bed and was upset that I told him he could not get out of bed to retrieve it).
Nas: (calmly and respectfully) Mom, may I pout at you?
Me: Um.. I'd rather you not.
Nas: Why?
Me: Well, it's not really respectful.
Nas: Oh. Well, can I do this?
(He leaned over the side of the bed sticking his lip out in a pouty face).
Me: Sure, if it will help you tell me that you're disappointed.
