What happened?

It is cold outside.  Really cold.  Randy and I were talking about this the other night and I am just befuddled.  See, I love winter, it used to be my favorite season: cocoa, sledding, ice skating, snow balls, snow angels, warm sweaters... In fact, I really missed winter when I was living in Florida.

I remember wearing outfits like this (only not quite so boyish), and having a blast in the snow!  What mystifies me, the thing I just can't figure out, is this:  When did winter get so cold?  Or maybe the problem is "When did I turn into such a wimp?"... I remember the snow and bundling up.. but somehow, now.. it seems a lot colder than it used to!

Can anyone answer me these things??? I still love the beauty of the white snow, but I prefer to love it from behind my window!  Fall is my favorite now, I love the colors, the smells, the hiking...

What is your favorite season?  Why?

  1. Fall's ALWAYS been my favorite. I LOVE the smell of burning leaves! (I think it's because I grew up in the country. People here tend to think it's awful.) The colors are nice, too...AND I love "jeans and sweatshirt" weather. I would live in that type of outfit year round! Oh, and s'mores. I love them.

Winter? Not so much my fave, although this year, as I said on my blog (http://mythisnthatlife.blogspot.com) I've learned to see it a little more through my kids' eyes. I don't hate it anymore.

(Sorry for the shameless plug, Jen!)

  3. Lol, Melissa, that was Randy's conclusion too.

Fall has been my favorite for several years now, that's why we got married in October - the back drop of beautiful leaves in the park.. spectacular!

Lou, I will see winter through my kid's eyes in a couple years, for now I like keeping them warm too.. Monkey's been begging to play outside though, so I think I'll take him out after nap/before Noah's ARk

  4. Ohhhhh - I just love fall. It is so beautiful. I especially like a warm fall... I find the temperatures most comfortable in this season.

Spring is always so "messy" (sorry I have no other words to describe it... the big meltdown leaves everthing sopping and gross).

I love summer but it's often too hot for my liking.

Winter is beautiful but I can't stand it when it's too cold (and I really dislike winter driving).

  5. I love them all for different reasons! We get all four seasons in Tennessee.

Love spring for the blossoming plants, trees, flowers, etc.

Love summer because there's lots of sunshine and warmth.

Love fall for the beauty of the changing leaves.

Love winter for the beautiful snow.
